A must read: Gwarlingo’s Guide to Residency Programs

An old ice house at The MacDowell Colony has been converted into Heinz Studio, a space for sculptors and visual artists. (Photo by Victoria Sambunaris)So it seems like everyone I know is currently off enjoying summer residencies (and yah i’m jealous i’ll admit). My facebook news feed is full of pics and tales of new work and new connections. Reminds me of where I was this time last year: Medalta, enjoying my own summer residency. Well since I can’t find the time/money to go anywhere this year I’ll live vicariously through others and read up on residency opportunities in this great article by Michelle Aldredge: Gwarlingo’s Guide to Residency Programs.
